Well whether you do or not, the Salem Depot Train Station has been a fixture in our town since the early 1800's when many travelers coming from other towns to parts unknown stopped at our little station for a respite from travel.
Centered halfway between Boston Massachusetts and Concord New
Hampshire, Salem Depot was the natural place for travelers of the day
to take a brief respite from their journey. While time has taken it's toll on this little treasure in the depot but the good news is it has been examined and is structurally in tact, so most of it's condition is cosmetic.
We would like to thank Brother's Signs
of NH for donating a 4x4 project sign that will be affixed to the
building during the project. Make sure your stop by our Needs
& News Section for the latest project updates!
Salem once had a grand total of four
train stations? Locations included Hampshire Road,
Rockingham Park, the town's main station at Salem Depot with another
station across from Victorian Park called called Canobie Lake
Station.
In the early 1900's, Massachusetts
Northeast Street Railway Company, MNRC, called Salem as center of
operations for it's trolley services!
Special Thanks to...
Sal's Pizza and Diamante's Pizza of
Salem for providing PIZZA and DRINKS to the workers at the station!

History!
Our group consists of citizens and business's that care deeply about reviving this train station to be enjoyed by future generations. It's not clear yet what will occupy the station when it's finished but our immediate goal is rewind what the hands of time has done.
